- I am a first generation American, the daughter of a Holocaust concentration camp survivor and a survivor who spent the bulk of WWII in Russia. My mother emigrated to Israel in 1948 and my parents met and married in Israel in 1956. I am a believer in American exceptionalism and the greatness of this amazing country.
